I teach my students perspective, watercolors, oil, drawing, pen & ink, values, color mixing and much more. Including all the basics they need to grow into their full potential. We can work with the images that interest them to achieve better results with their art skills, patience and logic. We paint landscapes, animals, horses, cars, trucks, fairies, seascapes, flowers to name a few.

These are private lessons lasting one hour per week at $30.00 an hour. I find working with each individual student is the best way. There is no competition, each person advances at their own speed and fragile artist egos are protected. The lessons are given in my studio "Rose Bud Cottage" so my students get to see how a professional artist works and they learn from what I am doing and how I accomplish my own work.

I can do classes of two or more (adults only) at $25.00 per student per hour.

I really enjoy working with my students, seeing them respond to the world around them, grow more confident and have fun. Art is a learned skill besides having a natural interest in it and is something that will give you pleasure all your life.

I teach lessons mornings, afternoons & evenings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturdays. (If these times don't work we can try to find other times that will work) We work out a mutually agreeable time for student & teacher (and parent/driver person). Some people pay by the month & some each week. I teach throughout the year including summer & usually school holidays. I ask that you call me & switch around lesson times if you cannot meet at the regular time.

I provide all the material for the student. We use the same professional brushes, paints and watercolor paper from France that I use in my work. I teach the care, history & background of the materials we use so my students will be informed artists. I even start them signing their work with the proper signature and copyright to protect their work. A good habit to start early on & give pride in their accomplishments.

Any level of experience is fine. We can start lessons anytime as classes are ongoing. Just call me at (978)692-3516 & we will set up a first lesson time or a studio visit or to ask questions you may have.
